She’s a California dime and it’s time for me to quit her.

Name's Chase Rider? Heard of me? ...No? Oh, well, perhaps that's for the best. All you really need to know is that I'm seventeen, a senior, and extremely charming. aim: thesmolder

I’m back, and alive. I swear.

My bed has been my best friend this past week. I don’t want to leave it.

ooc: Ben Thorn & Chase Rider will be absent for about a day.

I have a casino party tonight to do with my dad (I deal blackjack) and I won’t be home till late because it’s out of county. Tommorrow I work 1-9:45pm, so I might not be around much until late. Halloween I only work three hours though c:

I might download aim on my phone so I can at least text. Might be able to manage some posts if I figure out how to use the tumblr app on my windows phone. Just can’t do fun paraphrasing with gifs :c

“Actually, I did take ballet,” Anna replied, laughing. “Mom forced me to. She wanted me to do all kinds of crazy stuff since she couldn’t because of that Gothel lady.” she explained, even though Chase  probably didn’t really care. One thing about Anna knew bugged Chase; her rambling. She couldn’t help it though, it just happened.

Anna felt the awkwardness in the air when she asked about the night before. She didn’t mean to make it awkward, she was just curious. Another thing that sometimes bugged Chase. She listened silently as he explained everything. When he was finished, she didn’t really know what to say. Since she had been an outcast for most of her life, no one ever came to her for advice. “Well that sounds…complicated.” Anna wasn’t sure what else to say, so she just decided to give her opinion. “Honestly, I thought you two were cute. And if you weren’t sure who kissed who first, than I don’t get why it was a bad thing.” Anna shrugged. “I mean, it shows that you both obviously still had feelings for each other.”

She took a deep breath, hoping that she said the right thing as a little sister.

Even though they didn’t hang out at all, Anna knew her brother too well. It kind of made him feel bad that he didn’t know that much about her.

He took a moment to take in her words, swishing around the rum in his glass with a tentative stare. He shouldn’t have been drinking - it was only making him more of an open book, but perhaps, just this once, it was alright. He was a lot calmer than he would have been if this conversation were going on while he was completely sober.

“You know how I am with girls,” Chase took a breath, self-admittance wasn’t his style. “I don’t normally give a damn about their feelings - no offense- ” at least he was being honest, ” -but I actually care about Annie. I don’t want to hurt her (worse than I already have). I don’t want her to end up like the rest of them.”

“I think she’s better off with Ben. He’s perfect for her. I might as well be the scum of the earth compared to that goody-two-shoes.”

Anna shut the cabinet she was looking in, and stood on her tip toes to reach the bowl. She was about to comment on how the room was a pig-stye, but she decided not to. One clean bowl was better than none right? She reached up again to get the box of Lucky Charms, but being the klutz she is, her fingers slipped and the box fell, making Lucky Charms go all over the floor. “Oh gosh, my bad. I’m such a klutz.” She found a broom and swept all the charms into a pile, then cupped them in her hands to throw away. “Guess I’m not having cereal then.” She took a seat across from Chance and went to take a sip from his drink, not knowing of the rum mixed in it. Luckily, before she could drink it, his words made her stop and she perked up. So that’s why he needed company, he wanted to talk about Annie, she thought.

Usually it wasn’t a big deal for Chance to break up with a girl. It was his thing, it happened all the time. But Anna could tell that Annie was different from the rest of the girls Chance dated. “Awh, that’s so sad. What happened?”

“Ah, shit. Good job. No wonder you never took ballerina classes, you klutz,” He laughed and pointed at the unused broom in the corner. Maybe she did  take classes and failed - he had never completely paid attention to her life, but she never seemed that keen to be interested in his, either. So it was a pretty mutual ignoring between them. They were just two different people.

Chase got quiet when she inquired about Annie. He wasn’t sure how to do this. This whole…brother sister thing. It was awkward, but it was nice. Annie was the only person who could judge him that he wouldn’t spread the word all over the school in point zero five seconds. She was a pretty decent sister, now that he thought about it.

“It was my fault,” he started, taking a breath of air and snatching his drink back from her before she could have a chance to take a sip,” I thought we could still be friends after our breakup. I didn’t treat her any differently. Probably lead her on thinking that we could be an ‘item’ again, and the other night when she came over, we kissed. I don’t know if I kissed her or if she kissed me, but I backed off and told her that nothing could happen between us.”

He paused for a moment, bracing himself for the scolding for his stupidity.
